“Nancy Canales I am a Salvadoran graduate as I am 37 years old I am a single mother of 2 boys who are my motivation to be better every day.

I immigrated to this country about 7 years ago, my first job here was parking lot painting and then in the kitchen I worked in both to cover my expenses. I have a child with special abilities.

In addition to my Entrepreneurship of working day by day making my business grow, I have been working for 6 years in the Restaurant industry, I am a GEM Manager in a Mediterranean food restaurant, in 2020 I started my Business selling food and desserts from home.

I had the opportunity to enter the Emprende Baking Program in which I learned to make cakes, to decorate with marzipan, rice paper, sugar paper, use duyas, I learned to make alfajor, macarrons, to work with buttercream, I also had the opportunity to meet new people with the same desire and desire to learn and undertake, we were a very united group where we motivated ourselves and made constructive criticism to improve what I learned every day, it motivated me to continue and to continue grow with my business

Thanks to the Power of Being a Woman and Employ PG I was able to register my business Zuley's Desserts & Events through the different events I have attracted new clients and I have been able to promote my business. I feel very grateful and at the same time committed to the Organization of the Power of Being a Woman for having given me this opportunity to acquire new knowledge and improve techniques in pastry, so whenever I can I encourage other women to educate themselves and learn in this industry of cooking and pastry, I gave them the information so that they also have the opportunity that I have had, I also tell them that if I have been able to they can too, with God's help everything is possible! “
